Drivers are being advised to plan their jouneys this evening due to closures on a busy Southampton road after reports of a smell of gas.
Lane closures will be in place on lanes 1 and 2 of Millbrook Road West outbound between 8pm and 6am.
The closures will affect the road between the Regents Park junction and Millbrook roundabout and are being put in place to allow Southern Gas Network exploratory works.
An SGN spokesman said one lane could remain closed after 6am tomorrow depending on the progress of tonight's works.
The spokesman also said that SGN are planning to carry out repair work on the road sometime next week. Details are yet to be confirmed.
