THOUSANDS of runners made their way through Southampton as part of the biggest running event in the city's history.
In total 10,000 people took part in ABP Southampton Marathon, which marked the return of a full 26-mile course after a 33-year absence.
Olympians and city councillors rubbed shoulders at the starting line for the event, which was won by David Coak in two hours and 51 minutes.
