A supporter who threw beer towards other fans during a match at St Mary’s has been ordered to pay more than £100 but has escaped a ban.
Scott Pedley, from West Sussex, pleaded guilty to throwing a beer can towards other fans during the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on April 5.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty and escaped a banning order.
The can missed the fans and hit the netting, with the court not issuing him with a banning order because the supporter had caused no trouble at previous matches.
The single incident was also described as impulsive.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 to victim services, as well as £85 costs.
