THE friends and family of a man killed in a car crash observed a minute-long silence before playing a football game in his memory in Hampshire.
Kevin Peat, a father-of-two, died after the car he was driving collided with a tree and a lamppost.
Since his death well-wishers have raised tens of thousands of pounds to provide for his sons, three-year-old Conor, and Liam, eight months.
The football match, which took place at Fawcett’s Field in New Milton, was also organised with the aim of raising more for the youngsters.
The cash will be held in trust for the boys until they are 18. K
evin’s sister Francesca said more than £22,500 had been donated so far since the the crash in Bournemouth in March.
Kevin, a labourer, lived in Hurn Way in Christchurch with fiancee Megan Churchill and their sons.
