TODAY we are giving 100 Daily Echo readers the chance to be among the first in the country to see one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

We have partnered with Warner Brothers to offer 50 pairs of tickets to a special preview screening of “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” starring Jude Law and directed by Guy Ritchie at the Vue in Eastleigh.

Featuring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is a retelling take on the classic Excalibur myth.

The film documents Arthur’s childhood after his father played by Jude Law is murdered and his uncle seizes the crown.

Robbed of his birth-right and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city.

But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy.

The film also includes a cameo performance by David Beckham - the former England football star plays one of the knights who fails to pull the sword from the stone.

The story will strike a chord with audiences in Hampshire as Winchester has a special connection to the legend of King Arthur.

Tourists flock each year to the city to visit the Great Hall of Winchester Castle where the Round Table of King Arthur is hung on the wall.

The film is due in UK cinemas on May 19 but the winners of the competition will be able to see the movie at a special regional screening on May 16.

To be in with a chance of winning answer the following question: King Arthur: Legend of the Sword stars this actor as Arthur. He is currently on the big screen in The Lost City of Z and previously starred in the popular TV series Sons of Anarchy - name him.

Send your answer with your name to KingArthur@tpf-london.com and include King Arthur Eastleigh in the subject field.

The deadline for entries is midnight on Thursday, May 11.

Standard Newsquest competition rules apply.
