THE family of three men who were arrested on suspicion of kidnap have said they are going to launch an official complaint against police.

Officers swooped on Acacia Road on Tuesday evening after a man was earlier seen being forced into a vehicle.

Armed police descended on the street, with two 18-year-olds and a 25-year-old arrested on suspicion of kidnap.

Officers say the vehicle spotted at the earlier incident was located before the arrests were made.

They attended Antelope Park on Bursledon Road just before 4.30pm to what they described as a suspicious incident.

After storming the street, one family member filmed the arrests and now the three men have been released, the family say they will lodge a complaint against the force.

One family member said: “We are, as a whole family, going to complain. You can see what has happened on the video and police were so aggressive.

“I don’t want this to happen, they should have approached us normally, not stormed down our road.”

Hampshire police say when the complaint is made official, they can look into it.

Officers confirmed that the three men had been released with no further action to be taken, saying they believe no offence had been committed, but did not comment further.

The family member added: “I have spoken to my solicitor and we are going to make an official complaint.”
