A NIGHTCLUB is to undergo a modernization and facelift, executives have revealed.

Southampton’s Oceana venue will be undergoing a £300,000 facelift over the next few weeks by owner The Deltic Group which is expected to create several new jobs.

Part of the plans will see the opening of Curve, which will play the latest R&B chart hits, and feature luxurious gold and black décor with 7 private booths, which can be booked in advance for parties.

The club’s main dance room will also receive an upgrade to the light and sound system.

Alex O’Reilly, Oceana Southampton’s General Manager said: “Oceana is a Southampton institution and we continue to be the number one nightspot in the city.

“We are confident Curve will be a big hit with our fantastic and loyal customers who make this such a great club and they will benefit from the upgraded light and sound technology in the main room.”

Curve will open on Friday, May 26 with a guest appearance by TV Love Island hunk, Alex Bowen.

The revamp by owners the Deltic Group follows an announcement last month that sister club Liquid in Portsmouth will receive a £1m investment to PRYZM creating 75 new jobs.
