IT’S one of the most photographed places by our Camera Club members, but now the New Forest has been revealed as one of the most frequently snapped locations in the country.
Social media platform Instagram has revealed the top destinations in Britain for users to get their cameras out, with the New Forest placed fifth.
The national park was ‘hashtagged’ a whopping 287,818 times, beating Snowdonia National Park in Wales.
However, the popular destination on our doorstep was beaten by Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Anfield football stadium and neighbouring Wiltshire’s Stonehenge.
We’ve selected some of our favourite photos of the New Forest from the Daily Echo Camera Club to celebrate the news.
You can still join the club on
Facebook to share your New
Forest images, or pictures from elsewhere in the county, by going to www.facebook.com/groups/decameraclub.
The club is open to photographers of all abilities.
