A MAN caused more than £1,000 worth of damage to a police vehicle.

Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard how Joseph Dillan Lucas, of no fixed abode, damaged a police car at Lymington Police Station on May 10.

Joseph was arrested for driving without a driving licence on the same day, however this offence was later withdrawn.

Last month, Joseph was convicted for failing to provide a breath specimen and driving while disqualified in Bournemouth.

He was ordered to serve a community order, including a rehabilitation requirement.

Now 23-year-old, Joseph Dillan Lucas, of no fixed address has been fined £50 and ordered to pay £400 compensation as well as a community order.
