Drivers faced delays of around an hour and 20 minutes following a 4-vehicle crash on a Hampshire motorway yesterday morning.

Crews from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene at 9.19am, with two lanes being closed on the M3 westbound between junctions 5 and 6 near Basingstoke.

A female passenger was cut free from her vehicle and was being treated at the scene by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS).

The road was reopened shortly after 12.30pm.
