POLICE are hunting two thieves who stole a bike worth more than £3,000 from a woman who had stopped to repair a puncture.

Two men in a white van pushed the 35-year-old woman over as she was fixing the bike by the stolen before making off with the racing bicycle, worth between £3,000 and £3,500.

The woman was cycling along Old Salisbury Lane in Romsey at around 4.45pm on Sunday, when she stopped. She did not suffer any injuries.

The bike is a Carbon Canyon Ultimate CLX racing bike which is matt black with red writing on it. It has Cero carbon 45 rims which had red and white writing on them.

It also has two bottle cages, one black and another with a green and white stripe on it. The seat is an Adamo ISM saddle with two prongs.

A police spokesman said: "Do you recognise the bike? Have you seen one like it since yesterday afternoon? Or did you see two men in a white van acting suspiciously in the area?

"If so we would like to speak to you as you may have information that could help our investigation."
