SOME of the court cases recently heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court:

MICHAL BAS, 27, of 8 Daintree Close Southampton. Pleaded guilty to not giving a breath sample. Ordered to pay victim surcharge of £85, court costs of £85, disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 30 months, fined £300.

JONATHON BUCKLEY, 34, of no fixed abode. Pleaded guilty to harassment. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Given a restraining order not to contact the victim. Ordered to pay victim services £20.00 and £40 costs.

TIMOTHY JAMES CAHILL, 62, of 3 Nursery Road pleaded guilty to drink driving a Citroen Van. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30.00, £85.00 costs, disqualified for 20 months, reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a course June 22. Fined £253.

GARY DAVID OLIVER, 63, of 50 Broadlands Road pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and failing to stop on Charlotte Place. Fined £253.00, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30.00 and costs of £85.00. Driving record endorsed with 8 points.

KARL MICHAEL BURNET, 24, Lower Brownhill Road. Pleaded guilty to driving without insurance or a licence. Fined £120.00, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30.00, and costs of £85.00. Driving record endorsed with 8 points. Disqualified from driving until driving test passed.

PAUL MCINTOSH, 37, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing food and alcohol from Tesco. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20.00.

MARCIN LUKASZ PASTUSZKA, 37, of 13 Grange Road, pleaded guilty to drink driving with 122 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. Ordered to carry out unpaid work for 150 hours within the next twelve months, to pay victim surcharge of £115.00 and costs of £85.00. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 29 months. Disqualification to be reduced by 29 weeks if a course is completed by January 19 2019.

DANIEL JAY WARLOW, 29, c/o 64 Spring Road. Pleaded guilty to stealing a television from Tesco. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £20.00, costs of £40.00.

ALLAN LAWRENCE MCGRORY, 40, of no fixed address. Pleaded guilty to stealing a £36 Adidas top from Sports Direct. Fined £23 and ordered to pay £30 victim services surcharge.

SCOTT PAUL HUMPHREYS, 27, of no fixed address. Pleaded guilty to stealing a £5.99 bottle of wine at a café in Fareham Railway Station. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victim services surcharge.

ADRIAN WEZKA, 20, of Portswood Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drink driving while more than three times the legal limit. Also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. Committed to a young offenders institute for 12 weeks and disqualified from driving for 40 months. Ordered to pay £115 victim services surcharge.

ADAM RICHARD BASFORD, 33, of Rodney Court, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing £12 worth of food from Co-Op and £87 worth of alcohol from Waitrose. Community order made and to be placed under a curfew for three months from 7pm until 7am. Ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 victim services surcharge.
