ORGANISERS of two of Southampton’s biggest upcoming events joined together to launch one of the busiest weeks in the city calendar.
In the run up to Southampton festival Common People and today’s launch of the first ever sailing week, Rob Da Bank and Chris Rees teamed up in a celebration of the city.
Common People, which kicks off on Saturday, will see thousands of gig-goers and music-lovers descend on Southampton Common for the weekend, with stars including Sean Paul, Groove Armada and Tom Odell to feature over the two days.
DJ Rob Da Bank was joined by the organiser of Southampton’s first ever sailing week, Mr Rees, in Ocean Village, ahead of its launch today.
The inaugural event continues until Monday, with hundreds of boats and thousands of people set to scatter around Southampton water and the Solent to celebrate the city’s maritime heritage.
