Police have charged a man following an armed robbery at a Post Office.
Officers were called after a man threatened staff with a knife and stole around £750 from the branch in St Helens, on the Isle of Wight, at around 4.30pm on Tuesday. No-one was hurt.
44-year-old David Warner, of Field Lane, St Helens, has been charged with one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place and one count of robbery in connection with this investigation.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on Thursday.
