The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

Derek Raymond Bran, 59, of Dodwell Lane, Hedge End. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating, breaching a community order. Community order made and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Abdul Wadood Hamidi, 58, of Shirley Road, Southampton. Found guilty of driving a car that was in such a condition that its use involved a danger of injury. Fined £350 and ordered to pay £35 victim surcharge and £650 costs and had driving license endorsed with three points.

Arkadiusz Jankowski, 26, of Clarence Road, Southampton. Found guilty of assault by beating. Community order and three restraining orders put in place. Ordered to carry our 120 hours of community service and pay £400 compensation and £200 costs.

Steven Andrew Maher, 39, of Atlantic Close, Ocean Village. Found guilty of assault by beating. Community order and told to pay £350 compensation, victim surcharge of £85 and £200 costs.

Mildred Newton, 57, of Broadwater Road, Romsey. Pleaded guilty to changing circumstances of housing to increase housing benefit entitlement. Given 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Danielle Ilana Dilworth, 40, of Wolfe Close, Stanmore, Winchester. Pleaded guilty to having two kitchen knives and a smaller knife in a public place. Community order and fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 victim services surcharge and £45 costs. All three knives to be forfeited and destroyed.

Steven Michael Hines, 34, of Clinton Road, Lymington. Pleaded guilty to speeding. Driving licence endorsed with six points and fined £80. Ordered to pay £30 victim services surcharge and £85 costs.

Lukas William Michael Fudge, 32, of Pear Tree Close, Botley. Pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of a cocaine and another controlled drug. Committed to prison for four weeks concurrent, suspended for 12 months and a drug rehabilitation requirement made. Disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Nonihal Singh Bhakar, 29, of Chilworth Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to speeding. Fined £400 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving license endorsed with four points.

Garry Dixon, 52, of Somers Way, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to failing to notify Eastleigh Borough Council of employment to affect housing benefit entitlement. Given a three-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Ordered to pay £115 victim services surcharge.

Amy Elizabeth Esher, 21, of Wilton Avenue, Polygon, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to speeding. Fined £40 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge. Driving record endorsed with three points.

Rodney Oliver Francis, 55, of Bassett Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing Yankee candles, damaging a fire extinguisher and assault. Given a nine-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £38 compensation and £85 costs.

Aurelian Jalba, 29, of Romsey Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to failing to give information to the police and speeding. Fined £338 and ordered to pay £38 victim surcharge and £40 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.

Thomas Aubrey Fay, 27, of Woodpecker Way, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and cannabis. Fined £833 and ordered to pay £50 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Gniewosz Pawel Prokopuik, 31, of Warren Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to attempting to damage a lamppost, breaching a community order. Made to undergo an alcohol treatment programme for six months and to be under a curfew for 10 weeks, 7pm-7 am. Ordered to pay £40 costs.

Anthony Gek-Kee Wiswould, 59, of Sandy Lane, North Baddesley. Pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. Fined £150 and ordered to pay £150 costs and driving licence endorsed with six points.

Dennis James Emery, 64, of Belmont Road, Chandler’s Ford. Pleaded guilty to drink driving while more than four times the legal limit. Fined £440 and disqualified for 20 months. Ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Kini William Hailstone, 22, of Lydgate Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing a handbag. Placed under curfew for six weeks, 7pm-7am and ordered to pay £85 costs.
