DUBBED “the most luxurious ship ever built”, Seven Seas Explorer is due to dock in Southampton tomorrow.
The Regent cruise ship is making its first visit to the UK and Ireland and Southampton will be her first port of call before visiting Newcastle, Edinburgh, Belfast, Holyhead, Dublin, Liverpool, Cork, and Dartmouth.
She will complete her round Britain cruise on June 14 when she returns to Southampton.
“We are delighted that this magnificent ship is coming to UK shores, not once but twice this summer,” said Graham Sadler, managing director Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Passengers aboard the opulent ship do not have cabins – they all have suites, all of which have balconies.
The height of luxury is the palatial Regent Suite which includes its own in-suite spa and $150,000 Savoir No. 1 bed.
Lavish gourmet restaurants, an infinity pool and the Culinary Arts Kitchen – a hands-on cooking school where guests can expand their culinary skills – are also part of the on-board experience.
The ship carries 750 guests and has the highest crew to passenger ratio in the cruise industry.
She is due to arrive at Berth 106 at 6am on Saturday and will depart at 9pm.
