POP superstar Robbie Williams arrives in Southampton next week.

He will take to the stage at St Mary's Stadium on Tuesday to showcase songs from his 11th studio album The Heavy Entertainment Show, as well as dazzling fans with an array of hits from across his three decades-long career, which saw him become the UK’s best-selling British solo artist.

The former Take That singer and Brit award winner opens his open air tour in Manchester tonight.

The tour will showcase songs from his latest album which has already produced the hit Party Like A Russian and Love My Life. Fans are also hoping to enjoy some of his back catalogue of international hits including Angels, Kids, Let Me Entertain You, Millennium and She's The One.

He is also hotly tipped to perform his cover of Freedom 90 as a tribute to late music icon George Michael.

Robbie will be joined by the 80s synth supremos Erasure, who have a new album out called World Be Gone. Who can resist absolute pop stonkers including Sometimes, Oh L’Amour, Chorus, Chains of Love, Always and Stop?

Talking ahead of his show, Robbie told the Daily Echo: "You know, it’s very difficult to have an objective view of what you do. I get on and I fanny about to my best abilities! And they enjoy themselves and they come back and they want to watch me do it again."

Asked what his favourite track to perform live was, he added: "Angels because it’s the last one! Also the adrenaline of Let Me Entertain You... it's like I'm saying 'Coming, Ready or Not!' for me and for the audience."

Robbie talks stadiums, boredom, Erasure and Take That in the full interview published today.

Vince Clarke from Erasure talks three decades of pop in the perfect partnership in tomorrow's Seven Days, free with the Daily Echo.
