DRIVERS could face travel misery over the next few days as a number of roadwork project are carried out.

Here is a list of all the roadworks being carried out in the region between Monday, June 5 and Sunday, June 11:

M3 junctions 2 (M25) to 4a Farnborough, Hampshire: smart motorway improvement

Work to reduce congestion and improve journey times continues this week between junctions 2 and 4a with narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place on both carriageways, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day.

The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Monday 5 June for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 13, A30 and A327 to M3 junction 4a.

The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Monday 5 June for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A327 and A30 to M25 junction 13.

The M3 junction 2 southbound link roads to the M25 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Wednesday 7 June for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 3 and return.

The southbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 5 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Wednesday 7 June for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A322, A30 and A287.

The northbound carriageway between junctions 5 and 3 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 5.30am, from Wednesday 7 June for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A287, A30 and A322.

Full weekend closure:

The north and southbound carriageways between junction 2 and 3 including the M3 southbound link road to the M25 clockwise will be closed from 9pm on Friday 9 June to 5.30am on Monday 12 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place for northbound traffic via the A331, A31 and A3 to join M25 at junction 10. Clearly signed diversions will be in place for southbound traffic via the M25 junction 15 and M4 and the M25 anti-clockwise to Junction 11, turn around and enter the M25 clockwise

M3 junction 3 to 2 northbound

Traffic travelling northbound on the M3 intending to travel towards Gatwick, Dartford and the main Ferry Ports will leave the M3 at junction 4. Diverted traffic will follow the A331 /A31/A3 to re-join the M25 at Junction 10.

Traffic travelling to Heathrow, Central London or clockwise on the M25 will leave the M3 at junction 3 and follow the A322 and A329M to join the M4 at junction 10. Diverted traffic will follow the M4 to access central London or re-join the M25 at M4 junction 4b for Heathrow or to re-join the M3 at junction 2

M3 junction 2 to 3 southbound

Traffic travelling southbound on the M3 from central London will leave the M3 at junction 2. Diverted traffic will follow the M25 to junction 15 and join the M4 to travel west.  Diverted traffic will have the option of using the A329M (J10) to access the Bagshot Area, the A33 (junction 11) to access the Basingstoke Area or the A34 (junction 13) to access the Winchester/Southampton Areas.

Traffic travelling anticlockwise on the M25 intending to travel south on the M3 will join the M4 at M25 junction 15.

Traffic travelling clockwise on the M25 intending to travel south on the M3 will join the A3 at M25 junction 10 and follow the A3, A31 and A331 to re-join the M3 at junction 4.

M3 junction 2 southbound to M25 junction 12 clockwise

Traffic travelling southbound on the M3 from junction 1 will leave the M3 at junction 2. Diverted traffic will follow the M25 anti-clockwise to junction 11, turn around and enter the M25 clockwise

M3 junction 6 Basingstoke, Hampshire: bridge strengthening

Work to maintain journeys by repairing the bridge supports starts this week. Narrow lanes will be in place 24/7 on the roundabout beneath the M3 until February 2018.

M3 junction 8 Popham, Hampshire: bridge strengthening

Work to maintain journeys by replacing bridge bearings and supports continues this week. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed restriction are in place 24/7 on the link from the M3 southbound to the A303 westbound until June.

M3 junctions 8 Popham to 9 Winchester, Hampshire: surveys

Work to improve road user’s journeys by undertaking surveys of the network takes place this week.  Lane closures will be in place on the north and southbound carriageways overnight, between 10pm and 6am, from Tuesday 6 June for three nights.

M3 junctions 13 to 14 Chilworth, Hampshire: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by resurfacing sections of the southbound links to the M27 and Chilworth Roundabout starts this week.  The M3 southbound from junction 13 to the M27 eastbound and to the Chilworth Roundabout will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for five nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via M27 junction 3 and return.

M4 junctions 7 to 8/9 Maidenhead, Berkshire: surveys

Work to undertake surveys in preparation to convert the M4 into a smart motorway continues this week.  The westbound entry slip road at junction 7 and lanes on the east and westbound carriageways will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for four nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 6 and return.

In addition, the westbound exit slip road at junction 8/9 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the next junction.

M4 junction 10 Wokingham, Berkshire: bridge reconstruction

Work to improve journeys by refurbishing the bridge that carries the link roads over the M4 continues this week. Narrow lanes and a 40mph speed limit are in place on the slip roads and a 50mph speed limit is in place on the M4 carriageway until November.

M4 junctions 12 Theale to 11 Reading, Berkshire: surveys

Work to undertake surveys in preparation to convert the M4 into a smart motorway continues this week. Lane closures will be in place on the eastbound carriageway overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for five nights.

In addition, the westbound exit slip road at junction 12 will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Thursday 8 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 13 and return.

M4 junctions 12 Theale to 13 Chieveley, West Berkshire: bridge refurbishment

Work to improve journeys by refurbishing the bridges that carry the M4 over Dark Lane and Ashampstead Road continues this week. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit will be in place 24/7 on the east and westbound carriageways until August.

M4 junctions 14 Hungerford, West Berkshire to 15 Swindon, Wiltshire: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by resurfacing sections of the westbound carriageway near Baydon continues this week. The westbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for two weeks (Monday to Friday only).  A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Hungerford, Chilton Foliat, Aldbourne, Wanborough and the A419.

M27 junction 3 Southampton, Hampshire: junction improvements

Work to improve journeys by installing new signage and safety barrier at junction 3 starts this week. Lane closures will be in place on the M27 east and westbound carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for five weeks (Monday to Friday only).

M27 junction 5 Eastleigh, Hampshire: junction improvements

Work to improve journeys by installing new signage at the junction starts this week.  Lane closures will be in place on the M27 eastbound carriageway overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for two weeks (Monday to Friday only).

M27 junction 12 / M275 Portsmouth, Hampshire: street lighting

Work to improve road user safety by maintaining the street lighting around junction 12 and the M275 takes place this week. Lane closures will be in place on the M27 east and westbound carriageways, and on the M275 north and southbound carriageways overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until Friday 9 June.

In addition, the M275 northbound carriageway to the M27 will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, on Thursday 8 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A3 Northern Parade.

A3 Hindhead Tunnel, Surrey: maintenance

Work to maintain journeys by carrying out tunnel maintenance takes place this week.  The southbound tunnel will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 5 June for four nights. Traffic will be diverted through the northbound tunnel in contraflow under a 40mph speed limit.

A3 Hogs Back to Shackleford, Surrey: safety barrier repairs

Work to improve safety by carrying out repairs to the safety barrier along the A3 finishes this week. Lane two of the north and southbound carriageways will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until Friday 9 June.

A27 Havant, Hampshire: road markings

Work to improve road user’s journeys by renewing the road markings along the M4 continues this week. The westbound slip roads at Harts Farm Way and the north and southbound A27 links at Bedhampton Hill roundabout will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, on Monday 5 June. Clearly signed diversions will be in place via Farlington and Bedhampton.

A31 Stoney Cross to Picket Post, Hampshire: drainage

Works to ensure road user safety by maintaining the drainage along the A31 takes place this week. The Stoney Cross turnaround point will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Monday 5 June. A diversion will be in place via Picket Post.

A31 Ferndown, Dorset: drainage

Work to improve road user’s journeys by maintaining the drainage system along the A31 starts this week. The A31 westbound carriageway from the A347 Palmersford roundabout to the Ameysford roundabout will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, from Tuesday 6 June for six nights (Monday to Friday only). A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Wimborne Road East/West.

A34 Sutton Scotney to Bullington, Hampshire: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by resurfacing a section of the A34 northbound carriageway between Sutton Scotney and Bullington continues this week. The A34 northbound carriageway will be fully closed from the A33 Kings Worthy link to the A303 (Bullington Cross) overnight, between 10pm and 6am, until Monday 19 June (Monday to Friday only). A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A33 and A303.

A34 Newbury to Chieveley, West Berkshire: surveys

Work to improve road user’s journeys by undertaking surveys of the road network takes place this week. Lane one of the northbound carriageway and on the entry slip road at Chieveley will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, on Tuesday 6 June.

A34 Chilton to West Ilsley, Oxfordshire: surveys

Work to improve road user’s journeys by undertaking surveys of the network takes place this week. The West Ilsley southbound exit slip road and lane one of the southbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, on Wednesday 7 June. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Beedon and return.

A34 Abingdon, Oxfordshire: resurfacing

Work to improve journeys by resurfacing a section of the A34 southbound carriageway near Abingdon continues this week. The A34 southbound carriageway will be fully closed from the Hinksey Hill (Oxford) junction to the A4130 Milton Interchange overnight, between 10pm and 6am, until Tuesday 13 June (Monday to Friday only).  A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A420 Botley Interchange, A338 to Wantage, then east along the A417.

A303 Andover, Hampshire: surveys

Work to improve road users' journeys by undertaking surveys of the network finishes this week. The westbound exit and entry slip roads at the A3057 Winchester Road junction will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, until Tuesday 6 June. Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the adjacent junctions.
