A SPECTACULAR medieval ball held in the grounds of an historic Hampshire landmark raised £13,000 for the Rose Road Association.

The charity, which works with children who have multiple and complex health needs, has been working with young people for 65 years and saw nearly 200 guests attend the event – many of whom dressed up for the occasion.

But it was also an event to mark the departure of one long-standing member of staff.

Heather Aspinall has been the charity’s CEO for 22 years.

As previously reported she steps down from the position this year.

The event included a silent and a live auction of prizes donated for the occasion including a flight in a Jet Provost aeroplane, festival tickets, a supercar experience and even a six-month membership to Fontwell Racecourse.

CEO Heather Aspinall said: “Our annual ball with TJ Waste and Wild Recruitment was another fantastic event. We are grateful for their continued support which allows us to support young people with disabilities in Hampshire.

“This is my last event as CEO, and so it was great to be able to enjoy such a fun evening.”
