SOME of the world’s strongest men will tough it out in Southampton today at the Ultimate Strongman World Series.
The event comes to St Mary’s Stadium for its first leg, where competitors will go head to head in five gruelling strength challenges.
Included in the field is three-time America’s Strongest Man Derek Poundstone, ‘Big Z’ Zydrunas Savickas, Britain’s Terry Hollands and Martins Licis.
Also competing are Nick Hadge and Dimitar Savatinov.
Disciplines will include the Giant Tyre Deadlift, Farmers Walk, Car Deadlift and the Atlas Stones.
History could be made as £5,000 is up for grabs for the man to break the Log Press world record – set by Savickas in 2015 at 228kg.
