POLICE are hunting a gang of graffiti vandals who spray-painted cars in Southampton.
At least six vehicles parked in Munro Crescent, Langley Road and Regents Park Road were targeted by the hooligans.
Police are vowing to mount high visibility patrols in the area in a bid to prevent any further incidents.
Former city councillor Steven Galton said: "It's very sad that people can find fun and enjoyment through criminal damage to people's cars, but with luck and by making the police fully aware we can hopefully catch the mindless idiot that's doing this."
After reporting the incident to Hampshire police Mr Galton was contacted by one of the officers.
The message said: "I will be tasking the local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) to carry out high visibility patrols.
"I have forwarded your e mail to the sergeants that cover your area in order that an assessment can be made as to whether any further measures need to be implemented."
Mr Galton said the victims had been able to remove the paint using a product called T-Cut.
