Police have launched a search for a man after an attempted assault.
Officers are appealing for help in finding Samuel Gomez, 34, of no fixed address in Portsmouth, who they want to speak to after reports of an attempted assault with a weapon against a 38-year-old woman in a car in Newcome Road, Fratton.
The incident took place sometime between 11am and 11.20am on Tuesday.
Samuel is described as black, about 5ft 7in tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Samuel’s whereabouts is urged to call police on 101 quoting 44170224423, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
