EASTLEIGH have welcomed back two familiar faces to the Silverlake Stadium.

Manager Richard Hill has moved to bring back popular goalkeeper Ross Flitney to the Vanarama National League outfit along with striker Chris Zebroski.

A club statement said: "Fans' favourite Ross has made in excess of 190 appearances for the Spitfires and will return in a joint role.

"As well as competing for the No1 shirt, Ross will be part of Richard's backroom team as goalkeeping coach.

"Richard has also boosted his striking options with the return of powerful frontman Chris Zebroski.

"He had a brief spell with the club in 2013 and will add a wealth of Football League experience to the squad."

Flitney initially joined Eastleigh in October 2012 on a month's loan from Gillingham and the move was made permanent later that season.

During Hill's first spell in charge, he was a key cog in the promotion-winning team from the Conference South.

Flitney remained with the club following Hill's departure, but left during Ronnie Moore's reign last season following the arrival of Ryan Clarke from AFC Wimbledon.

He briefly linked up again with Hill at Whitehawk and finished last season on Bromley's books.

With Clarke also parting company with the Spitfires last term, Flitney will vie with ex-Barnet man Graham Stack for gloves.

Zebroski, 30, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the option of an additional year.

On leaving Hill's Spitfires in 2013, the former Torquay, Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham man returned to the Football League with Newport County.

But his time in south Wales was ended when he was jailed for four years and four months in April 2015 for robbery and assault.

Both players will join up with their teammates when they return to for pre-season training.
