Man airlifted to Southampton hospital after falling from roof
A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after falling from the roof of a building at an industrial estate.
Police were called to the Lok’nStore self-storage unit, in Crockford Lane, Chineham, Basingstoke, at 1.46pm today, after a man had fallen from the unit’s roof.
An eye witness, who did not wish to be named said: “I had seen people doing work on the roof for the past couple of days and didn’t really think anything of it.
“But it did dawn on me that a few of the guys up there looked like they weren’t wearing harnesses.”
The man was flown to Southampton General hospital via air ambulance, with his injuries being described as serious.
