Princess Anne's visit to Hampshire has been postponed
The visit of Princess Anne to Solent Airport scheduled for June 27 has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
A Fareham Borough Council spokesperson said: “We have received notification from Buckingham Palace that HRH The Princess Royal is no longer available to carry out an official visit to Daedalus on Tuesday 27 June due to the need to attend the funeral of Countess Mountbatten.”
The Princess was due to fly into the Airport at Lee-on-the-Solent for an official visit ahead of the airfield’s 100th birthday celebrations in September.
