MORE than 600 runners laced up their shoes and pounded the tarmac at Southampton Airport.
The annual Runway Run includes a 5k course and joggers jumped at the unique opportunity to take part in daybreak exercise.
Runners donned costumes including a star, a giant bee, and a character from Pixar film Wall-E.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance which is the airport's charity of the year.
