TRIBUTES have been paid to a young family man who was killed in a North Wales crash.

Karl Ronald Hibberd, a 28-year-old biker of Harefield, was involved in the accident on the B4501, also known as the Evo Triangle, on Saturday.

After colliding with a car, the father-of-three was pronounced dead at the scene, near Cerrigydrudion.

Now, tributes have flooded in for Karl, led by his brother Alex, a boxing coach from Chartwell Green.

Alex said: “He was at 100 miles per hour from the moment he woke up to the moment he stopped.

“He was a real family man and loved his three kids so much.

“He has been into bikes since he was a teenager and has helped out at my mum and dad’s auto shop ever since.

“His favourite bike was his current one, a Honda Fireblade.”

“He loved walking in the New Forest and the beaches and surrounded himself with his family, he had such a buzz about him, full of energy.”

Karl, who went to school at Bitterne Park, was the director of the family business, Autotune Garage Service in Hedge End.

His mother Cheryl, 50, and father Mark, 57, also helped to run the company.

He was a father to three young children Jack, ten, Harrison, four, and Isabella, 19 months with his wife Katie, 28.

The childhood sweethearts met at school when they were both 14 years old and married last year. The family had recently bought a new house in Harefield.

Alex added: “They were soulmates, absolutely.”

Karl had two siblings, Kristy Coleman, 30, and Alex.

Other members of Karl’s family also paid tribute to the 28-year-old, saying: “Karl was a brilliant spark of light and full of energy.

“He lived to support his family and was a doting husband to his wife Katie and father to his three children.

“He is a dearly missed husband, son, brother and friend and will be sorely missed by us all, he brought so much energy that we can never replace.”

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision.

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit, North Wales, said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Hibberd’s family and friends at this time.

“We continue to appeal for witnesses, and are particularly keen on speaking to anybody who may have dash cam or go-pro footage that was recording in their vehicles or on their bikes whilst travelling in the area on Saturday afternoon to make contact, as any footage they have may assist with our investigation.”

“Anybody who may have information is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101, or via the live webchat quoting reference number V093670.
