A CAR was destroyed in a blaze next to a major motorway slip road on Thursday night.
The VW Touareg burst into flames, for reasons unknown, just after 10pm on the roundabout below junction 5 of the M27.
A fire crew from St Mary’s tackled the fire.
A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicle was “80 per cent destroyed” in the incident.
No other vehicles were involved.
