A HAMPSHIRE entertainer who appeared in one of the blockbuster Star Wars movies has left his entire million-pound fortune to sick and disabled children.
Ron Phillips, who died in April, was just 4ft 6in but used his diminutive size to land the part of an Ewok in the 1983 film Return of the Jedi.
Now he has left £1.3m earned during his career as an actor, singer and musician.
It means that some 250 small charities that help ill youngsters are set to receive a legacy of about £5,000 each.
Neighbour David Yeoman said: "He was very fond of children and he liked to think that his money would help children that needed help."

Well done Ron, a kind act that will make a big difference to a lot of people. I hope Gordon Brown didn't take 40% of your estate in inheritance tax to give to "his" favourite charities (eg subsidising Scotland, paying Civil Service Pensions, giving cronies high paid cushy posts on useless quangos etc)
