AN OUTLINE planning application for 320 homes in Hampshire along with 3.4 hectares of employment land and public open space has now officially been submitted to planners.
However, the plan in Alresford, near Winchester, has made some residents concerned about its impact, as many called for different housing sites in Alresford rather than just one off Sun Lane.
The scheme by Seaward Properties for land east of Sun Lane has been submitted to Winchester City Council planners and has been in the pipeline for years.
Under the scheme, 40 per cent of the homes are affordable and there would also be 3.4 hectares of employment land, and new open space.
Other improvements include an ‘all-moves’ roundabout from the A31 and the realignment of Sun Lane and the provision of additional school facilities including a Park and Stride’.
