HAVANT & Waterlooville have pulled out of tomorrow’s (July 18) pre-season friendly at AFC Totton due to an “unusual amount of injuries.”

Although former Bournemouth, Pompey and Eastleigh striker Matt Tubbs was fit enough to feature off the bench as the Hawks overcame Farnborough 2-0 on Saturday, the Hawks had Jordan Rose, Dan Strugnell, Brian Stock, Mike Carter and Andy Robinson struggling on the sidelines.

To make matters worse, Bradley Tarbuck limped off in the second half as two-goal Jason Prior fired the Hawks to victory.

An official statement from the National League South club confirmed: “Tomorrow night’s pre-season frieindly with AFC Totton has been cancelled due to our injuries. We would like to apologise to Totton.”

The Stags, meanwhile, are busy trying to find alternative opposition and are “very optimistic that there will still be a game at the Testwood Stadium tomorrow evening.”
