A HAMPSHIRE couple will go on a date with a difference thanks to a Daily Echo competition.
Kira and Sonny Smith will enjoy cocktails at a table dangling 100 feet in the sky above a popular Southampton landmark.
The event is one of a week-long chances for thrill-seeking foodies to experience breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks hanging above Guildhall Square.
And the Coxford couple will get to choose from a menu of tipples designed by expert mixologists from city centre bar Orange Rooms.
But there is just one small problem.
Receptionist Kira, 21, said Sonny is scared of heights.
But she said: “We’re doing it.”
Dinner in the Sky takes place from September 21 to 26 and there are still tickets available.
Participants are fastened into their seats before soaring above Guildhall Square at sunset for signature cocktails created by Orange Rooms.
The Echo’s competition ran in June.
