THREE people have been charged after a man and a woman were allegedly attacked in a Southampton street.
Emergency services rushed to Shirley Road after reports of three men getting out of a car outside the Pig 'N' Whistle pub between midnight and 2am on Saturday, before attacking a man and a woman opposite the junction with Kingston Road.
A 53-year-old man sustained serious stab wounds and a woman suffered minor injuries, while both victims had their phones stolen.
Peter Buckley, 45, of Oxford Street, Southampton, and Lee Quires, 45, of Northam Road, Southampton, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
John William Spooner, 52, of no fixed abode, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assault by beating.
All three men are due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today.
