POLICE have arrested a man following an assault that led to a high-speed car chase through Southampton.
It is alleged he was involved in an assault at Mayflower Park before the man fled the scene in a black Jeep.
He was was chased by officers at about 7.48pm through the city before they lost sight of him in Darwin Road on Thursday night.
Police say the 26-year-old man from London was then involved in a collision on Landguard Road shortly at about 8.05pm before being detained.
