A MAN is critically ill at Southampton General Hospital after being found unconscious with serious facial injuries.
The man was discovered to have a bleed to the brain and fractures to his skull, facial bones and ribs.
Police were called at about 6.13pm on Monday, July 31, following reports of a "collapsed man" near the Civic Offices on a walkway leading to Isambard Brunel Road in Portsmouth.
A 19-year-old man from Southsea has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
