MOTORISTS faced delays after a crash on a major Hampshire road.

The incident happened at about 11.30am on the A31 westbound between Stoney Cross and junction one at the M27.

A white van is believed to have driven off the road onto the embankment.

Police were called to the scene just after 10am.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "The driver suffered an injury, but it is not clear what this was. The ambulance were called to the scene."

The road was cleared around 11.30am.
