IT'S high summer and, if the rain stays away, there's a host of hot events happening across Hampshire.

Here's our pick of the top ten days out this weekend...

(1) At Lymington Seafood Festival...

THE historic market town of Lymington will be holding its first seafood festival tomorrow and Sunday.

The two-day event, held at Bath Road Park, will feature some of the region’s most exciting chefs, restaurants and artisan producers.

It will play host to an exciting array of over 70 producers and pop-up restaurants across the weekend, including Chewton Glen, The Montagu Arms, Careys Manor and Lymington’s much-acclaimed Elderflower restaurant.

It aims to serve as many seafood delicacies as possible, from lobster mac n’ cheese, local hand dived scallops, clams, crab and mackerel.

Wines include Hambledon’s award-winning English sparkling, a pint of festival ale courtesy of Ringwood Brewery, or local gin or rum from Dancing Cows Distillery.

With its stunning Solent and estuary views, Bath Road Park will welcome Michelin-starred chefs in the demonstration kitchen. Luke Matthews of Chewton Glen and Roux Scholar Matthew Tomkinson of The Terrace will star alongside Pascal Aussignac from London’s Club Gascon and Mark Jarvis, of Anglo, one of London’s hottest young chefs.

In addition to the pop-up food stalls, there will be live music across the weekend with leading bands and artists playing a mix of soul, blues, ska and rag-time – plus a 12-strong sea shanty band. To further entertain the crowds, there will be children’s activities and street entertainers.

The manager, a former Argentinian international who had a successful last season at Alaves before arriving in Southampton, is aiming to bring in at least one new signing to freshen up his Saints squad, possibly more if he loses his star centre back.

Saints have so far only recruited £5m Polish centre half Jan Bednarek this summer.
