Firefighters tackle kitchen fire on Stewards Avenue in Widnes
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a kitchen fire in Widnes.
Crews were called to Stewards Avenue shortly before 8pm last night.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the fire which was caused by burnt food.
A high pressure fan cleared smoke from the property.
Crews were at the scene for around an hour.
