A MAN arrested on suspicion of producing explosives has now been released but remains under investigation.
A Hampshire police spokesperson confirmed that the 39-year-old who was arrested after chemicals were found at a home at The Grove, Sholing has now been released but remains under investigation while inquiries continue.
As previously reported by the Daily Echo, police officers and a Royal Navy bomb disposal team were called to the property n July 30.
Residents of the house were evacuated and police carried out investigations throughout the day before arresting a man on suspicion of producing explosives.
The incident is not believed to be connected with terrorism.
