POLICE have launched a search for the attacker who left a man with serious head injuries following an assault.
The 54-year-old victim was treated for injures including both of his cheek bones being fractured and a fractured eye socket after the serious assault in Gosport.
The incident took place Westfield Road between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday.
A 20-year-old man from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with this assault. He has been released from custody without charge, but remains under investigation.
Now police have released a description of the man they are searching for. He was white, aged between 20-25 years old, with short blond hair and of medium build.
