PASSENGERS were trapped on a bus which collided with a car in Southampton.
The collision involving a double-decker and a Hyundai car took place at the junction of Shirley Road and Cawte Road just before 11.45am yesterday.
Hampshire police said some of the passengers, several of whom are thought to be elderly, were unable to leave the bus.
Due to an incident in Shirley Road/Foyes Corner. The 4/17/18 will be diverted via Waterloo Road and Regent's Park Road in both directions.

About 14 people were believed to be aboard the vehicle and South Central Ambulance said two patients were being taken to hospital.
The vehicles have now been moved and Shirley Road has been reopened.
South Central Ambulance Service were called to the scene and crews from Redbridge and St Mary’s fire stations were helping free the passengers.
The bus driver is said to be shocked but unhurt.
