Daily Echo:

Saints come away from the John Smith's Stadium with a hard-earned point.

They remain unbeaten in their opening three games, but they made to work for it against Huddersfield.

Huddersfield had the best of the pressure and really took the game to the visitors, almost overwhelming them in the first half.

However, Pellegrino managed the game well, shuffling things around in the second period to ensure his side could contain the impressive Terriers playmaker Aaron Mooy and co.

Saints had a very clear cut chance in the first half, which Nathan Redmond steered round the far post.

Redmond then had the next best chance in the second half, but fired straight at Huddersfield stopper Jonas Lossl from the edge of the box.

In added time, Huddersfield captain Tommy Smith cleared off the line from Ryan Bertrand's back post header.
