BUOYANT Blackfield & Langley are the new Sydenhams Premier leaders with six wins out of six.

The Watersiders’ perfect record came under threat when Harry McGrath fired Bashley into a late first-half lead at Gang Warily last night.

Joe Butcher levelled just after the hour and, with just five minutes of normal time remaining, a screamer from England schoolboy international Jordan Ngalo ensured Blackfield dislodged overnight leaders Baffins Milton Rovers who collapsed 5-1 at home to Horndean.

The Deans raced into an early 3-0 lead through Miles Everett and Harry Jackson (2). Jack Maloney and Everett finished the job in the second half either side of Baffins’ reply.

Sholing – one of four teams now locked on 16 points behind Blackfield - edged ten-man Hamble Club 2-1 at the Universal Stadium.

Hamble had Liam Crook’s long-range opener snuffed out by Dan Mason before losing Ricky Bull to a second yellow card.

Barry Mason’s 82nd-minute strike settled it for Dave Diaper’s Boatmen.

Andover Town kept their 100 per start intact thanks to two-goal Mike Gosney.

The ex-AFC Totton wing wizard volleyed into the bottom corner on 40 minutes and struck again at the death to crown a 2-0 home result over Amesbury – Town’s fifth straight league win.

Andover also hit the woodwork twice through Zach Glasspool and Liam Gilbert and were indebted to goalkeeper Lloyd Thomas for two top-drawer saves.

The New Forest derby went Lymington Town’s way thanks to two-goal Sam House.

The ex-Totton & Eling marksman followed a 31st-minute strike with a 47th-minute diving header as Town eclipsed Brockenhurst 2-0 at the newly-named Meadens Skoda Arena.

Alresford Town took their shooting boots to Petersfield, racking up a handsome 7-0 victory over the managerless Rams.

It was 6-0 at half-time with Steve Hall completing a hat-trick and Tom Sands later repeated the feat. Matty Andrews’ opener had set the free-scoring Magpies on their way.

Reigning champions Portland were beaten 2-0 at home by manager Simon Browne’s former club Hamworthy United.

On Monday night basement boys Team Solent had got their first point on the board with a 0-0 home draw against Bournemouth Poppies.
