'FURIOUS' residents will have the chance to discuss plans for a new store in Southampton tonight.
The public meeting, which takes place tonight, is aimed at generating debate on the planning application submitted by Lidl to build a new store on the site of the old Shirley police station and city depot.
Millbrook Labour councillors Sarah Taggart, Mike Denness and Dave Furnell said the meeting has been planned to get feedback on the plans “to feed residents’ concerns into the planning process.”
As reported by the Daily Echo, residents have strongly criticised the plans, labelling them "laughable".
Lidl have been asked to send a representative. Council planning officers will also be present.
It takes place at 7.30pm at St Boniface Church Hall on Shirley High Street.
