POLICE are searching for a man following a burglary in Eastleigh.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to talk to in connection of a burglary at the Fleming Park construction site in Passfield Avenue.

The incident occurred between 1am and 2am on August 19.

According to Hampshire Police the building was broken into and damage was caused to the flooring.

A fire extinguisher, two shovels and a hand held angle grinder were then stolen.

As previously reported by the Daily Echo, the works for the £25m Fleming Park Leisure Centre started last year.

The new centre aims to offer residents a wide range of sports facilities including an eight-lane swimming pool, a 150-station gym, a ballet studio, a spin studio as well as a crèche and soft play area for the youngest.

A statement issued by Hampshire Police said: “ We have been following lines of enquiries and are now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to about this incident.
