A Hampshire pub could be knocked down to make way for for houses.

Plans have been submitted to New Forest National Park Authority to demolish the Silver Hind in Sway and replace it with three detached houses - two three-bedroom and one four-bedroom.

The application says the scheme would "seek to generate much-needed housing in the area where development land is in short supply".

The pub is owned by Silver Hind Holdings and the original part of the building, a district nurse's cottage, dates back to 1909.

The deadline for comments on the application is September 25.
