IT IS one of biggest outdoor sale of motoring items in the Western World.

Thousands of visitors packed to the 2017 Beaulieu International Autojumble at the Beaulieu estate which boasted more than 2,000 stands packed with everything to do with vintage and classic cars, including tools, clothing, and literature.

Saturday saw an auction held by Bonhams with classic cars of all models and sizes come under the hammer as buyers went deep into their pockets to purchase motor memorabiliaof all shapes and sizes.

Among the selection was a 1921 Napier ‘Blue Bird’ replica, built in the spirit of Malcolm Campbell’s Land Speed Record which was sold for £264,700 and a replica of the 1885 Daimler Reitwagen, the first ‘modern’ motorcycle and built from wood which reached £7,762.

Automart also had enthusiasts reaching for their wallets, as up to 200 classic cars also went up for sale at the events arena, while the automotive temptations continued in Dealermart with a range of first-class classics snapped up for sale by dealers.

Meanwhile, Sunday saw hundreds of Trunk Traders flock to the event fields, as jumblers sell off their unwanted motoring items from the boots of their cars with plenty of bargains laid across the traders’ trestle tables.

Show media sponsor Practical Classics magazine also showcased its long-term Ford Model T project as it nears completion.
