EASTLEIGH are treading water in the middle of the Vanarama National League after being held to a fourth successive draw at Guiseley this afternoon.
It ended 0-0 at Nethermoor Park where second-to-bottom Guiseley – playing their first game under new boss Paul Cox – had the best of the chances.
Spitfires’ goalkeeper Graham Stack produced a top-drawer save to deny Blackpool loanee Raul Correia.
And the West Yorkshire side, who went into the match on a three-match losing streak, squandered a dream chance to win it four minutes from time when Jake Lawlor blazed the ball over from close quarters.
An Eastleigh opportunity followed in the 89th minute when Danny Hollands’ shot on the turn brought a decent save out of Lions’ stopper Joe Green.
The result leaves Eastleigh 12th heading into Tuesday’s home game against Maidstone United, who beat Woking 3-1.
