A MAN who was caught more than three times the drink drive limit, and pleaded not guilty, has been given a lengthy driving ban.
Nicholas Carter, of Ferndale Road, Marchwood, was disqualified for 30 months by West Hampshire Magistrates Court.
The 63-year-old was caught by police with 122 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – more than three times the limit.
Carter initially entered a not guilty plea, but later admitted the charge.
Carter was given a community order, including a two-month curfew, enforced by electronic tag and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and £100 victim surcharge.
