WALKERS, cyclists and horse riders are being urged to steer clear of three pony round-ups due to take place in the New Forest next week.
Details of all round-ups – known as drifts – are published in advance following two incidents in 2012 in which members of the public were caught up in the activity.
The next three drifts will take place at Penn Common on September 19, Brockenhurst Weirs on September 22 and East Boldre on September 24.
A spokesman for the New Forest Verderers said: “For their own safety, the public are urged to avoid each area on the day of the drift.”
